Registration Information

The .WIKI launch is divided into two phases: Priority Pre-Registration (Landrush) and General Availability. Each phase has specific application requirements:

Priority Pre-Registration - Landrush

From May 8, 2014, at 18:00 UTC to May 22, 2014, at 18:00 UTC, customers can purchase .WIKI domain names at a premium price. When you submit the registration request, you pay registration and application fees.

Multiple Priority Pre-Registration applications with different registrars are resolved via auction. If you don't get the domain you want, we refund your registration fee. However, applications fees are non-refundable.

Bulk .WIKI registration is not supported during this phase.

General Availability

Beginning May 26, 2014, at 18:00 UTC, customers can register .WIKI domain names on a first-come, first-served basis. When you submit the registration request, you pay registration and application fees.

Multiple applications with different registrars are resolved on a first-come, first-served basis during General Availability. If we aren’t able to secure the domain name, we’ll refund the registration fee.

Bulk .WIKI registration is supported during General Availability.

Who can register .WIKI domain names?

Anyone can register .WIKI domain names.

What are the limitations of .WIKI domain names?

These domain names can have up to 63 characters. You can't register domain names with special characters such as & and #.

The .WIKI extension does support Latin and Arabic IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) characters.

Which registry controls .WIKI domain names?

Top Level Design manages and supports the .WIKI extension.

For how long can I register .WIKI domain names?

You can register a .WIKI domain name for one to ten years.

When do .WIKI domain names renew?

We'll attempt to auto-renew your .WIKI domain name on its expiration date, but will park .WIKI domain names after the first failed billing attempt.

If the domain name isn't renewed within 45 days following expiration, the domain name will be canceled and removed from your account.

Can I transfer .WIKI domain names to my account with you?
