Make final edits
There are changes that need to be made in the configuration file
wp-config.php before your site will work in its new hosting location. You'll need to update the table prefix to the randomixed one Managed WordPress used in your database.
- Connect to your new site through FTP using the same method from Part 3 (either a filemanager or an FTP client like Filezilla).
- Locate the
wp-config.phpfile and edit it using the same method used from Part 4.
- Update the
table_prefix, you should have made note of this prefix after importing the SQL database file in Part 5 (e.g. if your prefix was
$table_prefix = 'wp_';
- Once you're done making changes, save the file.
- Test your site to see if it's working properly.
